A popular furniture retailer, Wayfair, has launched an augmented reality feature for Android. The ‘View in Room 3D’ function of the home-good company is part of its mobile shopping app, which allows shoppers to set virtual furniture in various areas of their house, as it’s an easy way to see how the different pieces will suit and/or fit in their interiors, before they make the decision of investing in them.

IBM unveils 'world's smallest computer' with blockchain at Think 2018

Powerful computers are just too big. And that is one downside to having them. But fret not! For that’s about to completely change, as IBM has a solution to curb this problem.

At IBM Think 2018 on March 19, the company unveiled what it claims is the world's smallest computer. They're not kidding: It's literally smaller than a grain of salt.

But don't let the size fool you: This sucker has the computing power of the x86 chip from 1990. Okay, so that's not great compared to what we have today, but cut it some slack – you need a microscope to see it.

The computer will cost less than ten cents to manufacture, and will also pack "several hundred thousand transistors," according to the company. These will allow it to "monitor, analyse, communicate, and even act on data."

The world’s largest SSD can store 20,000 HD Movies

There’s a new record holder for the largest SSD card in the world, and it comes in at 100TB. The Nimbus Data ExaDrive DC100 is a new, colossal drive which is currently being tested with select customers and will be available to the public this summer.

The company states that the DC100 will use 3D NAND flash memory, which can provide enough capacity to store 20,000 HD movies, or 20 million songs, and is capable of read and write speeds of 500MB/s. Nimbus Data is also fully guaranteeing the drive for five years without limit, so if your likely-very-costly drive kicks the bucket during that period you can always get it replaced.
