Christina Aguilera goes make-up free on cover of Paper

Christina Aguilera is known for her over-the-top make-up and styling – from her Dirrty era smudged eyeliner, braids and chaps; to her Ain’t No Other Man victory rolls, pin-up dresses and red lipstick. But she’s shunned all of that to go au naturel on the cover of Paper magazine.

The stunning cover sees the 37-year-old show off her freckles and natural beauty in a super close-up, with a finger raised to her lip wearing a ‘Mom’ ring. Inside the magazine, Christina wears a heavy black glossy lip, followed by glittery pink eyeshadow. Christina has dabbled in super heavy make-up over the years. However, her vampy make-up is washed off by rain, resulting in Xtina looking like a teenager for the cover. She told Paper, “I’m a performer, that’s who I am by nature. But I’m at the place, even musically, where it’s a liberating feeling to be able to strip it all back and appreciate who you are and your raw beauty.”

However, Christina ain’t ditching the slap, adding, “I mean, I’m a girl that likes a beat face, let’s not get it twisted.”
