Born on December 1, 1982 in Wembley, London to British-Pakistani parents, Riz Ahmed is currently basking in the glory of success. This British actor, rapper and activist is the first Muslim/South Asian man to win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie category for his amazing performance in the critically-acclaimed miniseries The Night Of, and was also nominated for several other prestigious accolades. Initially known for his work in independent movies like The Road to Guantanamo, Four Lions and The Reluctant Fundamentalist to name a few, Riz went on to grab meaty roles in blockbusters like Jason Bourne and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He is also known for his rapping abilities with the stage name Riz MC as part of the hip hop group Swet Shop Boys, which has earned critical acclaim as well as commercial success. Riz was among Time’s 100 list of the most influential people in the world last year and has achieved all the success with sheer hard work.
