Raeed & Hina - Stars of the millennials

Raeed Alam and Hina Altaf may be new additions to the younger lot of actors in our television industry, but they have quickly garnered a steady fan following with their killer looks and prominent roles in TV dramas. Churning out back-to-back hit projects and good performances, Raeed has featured in Mujhay Jeenay Doh and Rang Laaga, while Hina has given the Pakistani audience much to praise her for her work in Marium Kaisay Jiye, Udaari and Dil-e-Jaanam. MAG recently caught up with the two young busy bees for an interesting rapid fire session. Excerpts:

The smartest thing you have done recently?

Hina Altaf – It was to take the decision of living alone. This has made me independent.

Raeed Alam – [Starting] my production house, DNA FILMS.

The hardest thing you have had to do?

HA – Nowadays, it is to go for gyming because of the temperature.

RA – Direction.

Your most annoying habit?

HA – I forget things and ask others where they are.

RA – Eating cake.

Your best quality?

HA – I’m content, comfortable and just happy.

RA – Main kabhi jhoot nahi bolta.

What was the last dream you remember having?

HA – I don’t remember dreams. Most of them are scary anyway.

RA – I was sitting on a large golden throne upholstered in red velvet.

If you could spend the rest of your life doing just one thing, what would that be?

HA – I would want to make clay pots. I can do this for the rest of my life.

RA – Direction

Current celebrity crush?

HA – Burak Deniz, they guy who plays Murat in the Turkish drama Pyar Lafzon Main Kahan.

RA – Jacqueline Fernandez.

Tea or coffee?

HA – Tea, anytime!

RA – Coffee for me.

Sweet or spicy?

HA – Spicy.

RA – Sweet.

Desi, fusion, international?

HA – Desi, always!

RA – Desi.

Favourite winter activity?

HA – Mine is sleeping.

RA – I would call it camping.

Favourite travel destination?

HA – All the way to be on my bed.

RA – Germany.

A place you’d like to visit next?

HA – Well, I prefer Istanbul.

RA – Vietnam is on my wish list.

Your idea of a perfect date?

HA – Silence.

RA – Perfect dates are boring to me.

Are you a dog person or a cat lover?

HA – Cat lover, a bit.

RA – Dog.

Your kind of music?

HA – Anything that relaxes [me] or boosts [my energy].

RA – Depends on my mood.
