Indian hospital offers free heart transplant to Pakistani hockey legend Mansoor Ahmed

An Indian hospital, Fortis Group of Hospitals, has not only agreed to offer treatment to Mansoor Ahmed at its hospitals in Mumbai and Chennai, but has also made it clear that the entire treatment would be free. Pakistan’s hockey legend Mansoor, who had an impressive record against India back in his playing days, is currently being treated at Karachi's National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICD).

Days after the 49-year-old Ahmed made an emotional request to the Indian government to grant him a visa on medical grounds, the Fortis have lent their support to former hockey player who needs a heart transplant. He requested the Indian establishment's support after he was advised by his doctor in Karachi to look for better treatment in Indian.
