A duck has apparently been caught speeding twice in the space of three days. Yes, you heard that right! A speed camera has clocked a bird flying nearly double the limit in Köniz, western Switzerland. A police statement said: “The duck was traveling in a low-altitude flight at 52 kilometres per hour in a 30-kilometre zone.”

Officers also posted an image of the speedster online. The bird was flying at 52 kilometres per hour in a 30-kilometre zone. Police has claimed a similar looking duck broke the speed limit again but they could not verify if it was the same offender. But if the duck does return it’s unlikely it will be doing bird because, well, it’s a bird. That also means it won’t have to pay a fine or be banned from the highways. It would be best advised to stay away though because its luck may run out. A user who was amused by the whole thing tweeted: “One more infraction and the bird spends the night behind a cage.”
