Inside the upcoming royal wedding: Meghan's £100,000 wedding dress 'revealed'

Meghan Markle's incredible £100,000 wedding dress has been revealed by royal and fashion industry sources, according to reports. Prince Harry’s bride, 36, will walk down the aisle at St George’s Chapel in a hand-stitched gown designed by Ralph & Russo similar to one from the SS16 collection. Meghan wore a £56,000 black evening dress from the same label for her official Kensington Palace engagement photographs, as well. The actress will reportedly wear the heavily-beaded gown during the service and at a reception held by the Queen in St George’s Hall, Windsor Castle, shortly afterwards.

She will later change into a second dress for a private reception hosted by Prince Charles at Frogmore House, Windsor Great Park.

Kensington Palace confirmed Thomas Markle, the father, will walk Meghan down the aisle on her big day. He and mum Doria Ragland will both have “important roles” at the royal wedding set to take place on May 19. The divorced couple will also meet the Queen before the wedding. They will also have meetings with Prince Philip, Prince Charles and wife Camilla as well as Harry’s best man Prince William and wife Kate. Doria is expected to stay with Meghan the night before the wedding, at a location yet to be announced. The bride will not have a maid of honour, but only child bridesmaids and page boys. A source said, “She has a very close-knit group of friends and did not want to choose one over the other.” The bridesmaids and page boys are expected to include Prince George, four, and three-year-old Princess Charlotte. They will join the bride as she arrives at the chapel with her dad.

Harry’s mum Princess Diana will also be remembered in the ceremony. Diana’s brother Earl Spencer and sisters Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale will bring their families, and Lady Jane will give the reading. They will be joined by the extended royal family, Harry’s pals from Eton and the military, and Meghan’s friends from school in Los Angeles and university in Illinois and her co-stars from US drama series Suits. Kate will attend the ceremony without her newborn Prince Louis.

After the wedding, the couple will return to the Castle for an afternoon reception at St George’s Hall hosted by the Queen. That is followed by a dinner hosted by Prince Charles for 200 friends in Frogmore House in the castle grounds. Titles for the couple – expected to be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – will be granted by the Queen and announced on the morning of the wedding. Harry and Meghan will return from their honeymoon for a public engagement a week after the wedding.

Iqra gets in trouble for contract breach

So our very own on-screen good girl has apparently been not so good off-screen. Iqra Aziz is said to be in contract with talent management company Citrus Talent, according to which the actress is forbidden to collaborate with any other talent company and do any work outside the knowledge of Citrus Talent. Despite a warning from Fahad, the CEO, Iqra has gone ahead with shooting a TVC that clashes with the terms of their contract. This has made him very upset, and in a long Facebook post, Fahad has announced that his legal team has served the 20-year-old with a notice.

“There is no need for Mahira Khan in our industry”

Our beloved Meera has decided to leave the country and move to the USA “to start a new journey” with husband Naveed Pervaiz. The Nazar star wept as she spoke of the numerous scandals she has unwillingly been a part of and said that worst time for her in this industry was when people started laughing at her and humiliating her for her spoken English. Meera confirmed that she would visit Pakistan regularly and continue to work on the projects she has already signed. Talking about fellow actor Mahira Khan, the actress said, “I think Pakistan’s film industry is strong now and new talent prevails here. However, I still think there is no need for Mahira Khan in our industry. She was never a star, everyone in the film industry knows what a star should be like, and it’s not Mahira.” She continued, “Our industry needs people like Moammar Rana and Meera – those who are brave. I am sure that the public will soon see many such people in Lollywood.” Finally, the artist shared that she will be available for her fans on Twitter.
