Red Stained Lips

Do it like: Irina Shayk who modelled the modern way to wear hot red lips, with barely-there eye make-up and a perfectly imperfect messy bun.

Get the look with: Some red lip stain, as classics never go out of style. We prefer Maybelline’s Rebel Red, a vivid matte liquid. If you want, then go for high kohl-lined eyes but avoid heavy doses to create the red-only magic.

Works best with: An elegant and simple white outfit.

Mind your age: We would suggest red lips for the ladies who are nearing 40s and above, for the dark lips are a big no-no for teenagers.

Quirky Eyes

Do it like: Joan Smalls who opted for bright eyes over lips, pairing an electric blue liner with a nude lipstick.

Get the look with: An eye-liner in electric blue shade and a nude lip colour to ensure not to snatch attention away from the eyes. We advise Deborah’s blue eyeliner that delivers a perfectly precise finish. As for the shimmery nude lip colour, go for Rossetto Light Creator, again by Deborah.

Works best with: Outfits in blue and metallic grey shades.

Mind your age: The look works best for women in late 20s and early 30s. Never mind if you have already hit the numbers 36 or 37 and still want to go for the same avatar. Just refrain from using shimmery blue eyeliner and use a matte one instead.

Dramatic eyes

Do it like: Kristen Stewart. Her power look boasted of shimmery smoky eyes with lips in natural pink shade.

Get the look with: Sephora’s silver metallic eye-liner. You can smudge it without messing your make-up as the product is very friendly when applied with some extra strokes of black eye pencil. Maybelline’s kajal pencil will do the purpose in a right way.

Bourjois Kiss Shine Lipstick complements most of the skin colours, so consider it safe to play with the shade even if you have a wheatish complexion.

Works best with: Black and monochrome outfits in fusion or western cuts, as the look does not go well with traditional dresses. You can also opt for the look if you have a royal blue number in your Eid wardrobe.

Mind your age: Girls nearing 20 and in early 20s can sport the look with aplomb as it brings attention to the eyes.

Champagne beauty

Do it like: Diane Kruger who oozed retro beauty vibes, with a super-sleek bob and delicate champagne tones accentuating her facial features.

Get the look with: The careful stroke of highlighter in right places for the champagne look is all about enhancing your facial features in the most elegant way. We recommend Givenchy’s Memoire de Forme highlighter as it is summer friendly. It’s fresh and bouncy texture ensures a radiant healthy glow. Apply it on the apples of your cheeks and bridge of your nose, and you are set to go. Steer clear of heavy eyes and lips and let your cheeks do all the talking.

Works best with: Black and green Eid numbers, especially if you have opted for a heavy traditional dress.

Mind your age: The look is best suited for ladies above 45, as it advises you to stay away from a mix of colours on your face.
