The Floral Takeover

From the stylebooks of your favourite celebrities

With the return of summers, comes the blooming flair for floral indulgence. Nothing speaks summer more profoundly than scattered petals, flowers intertwined with the greens, and a flush of colours. Although, it’s true, florals are a little overdone when it comes to the new season and have become somewhat of a perennial choice for the fashion crowd but kudos to these fashion-forward celebrities for delivering the most exuberant floral inspiration.

Metallic blooms

Just a gander at her was not enough, the day Amal Clooney walked in the Met Museum sporting a Richard Quinn gown with a rose-covered train. Clooney turned heads on the red carpet in the two-piece outfit that featured a detachable, cascading floral train worn over a sleek pair of black trousers. But the highlight? The long train encrusted with metallic roses that even after weeks of their red carpet appearance; we can’t seem to get over with.

Red Alert

Red is the colour for the brave; because when gone wrong it puts you in the limelight for all the wrong things. We love how this red tunic and pant suit, with scattered peaks of purple and cream flowers are working for Zhalay. The actress wore the attire to a premiere launch. Albeit pretty, we don’t think a blinding red should be your go-to colour for summers.

A Human Carnation

Amongst the many styles flaunted by the national heartthrob during the promotions of her film, 7DMI, was this Zara Shahjahan number, which emanates an almost-surreal effect to the eye. Big blown-out flowers in pink, tangerine, blue and yellow play a vivid dance against a white backdrop, makes one yearn for the bygone spring, while making Mahira look like a human carnation. The shirt with a matching trouser makes a cool, summery attire to sport during the sweltering months.

Sunshine and canopies

The most coveted yellow of the season is this canary hue, which allows you to radiate sunshine out of your own attire; metaphorically of course. Ayesha Omar sported a canary yellow blazer and pant suit to a store launch recently. We love how the bright green leaves weave around the outfit with scattered blossoms here and there.

Floral meets stripes

Who knew a top boasting scattered petals and abstract flowers would pair so well with stripped trousers? Sonya gave us major inspiration to be creative with our florals for this season and make a statement. We love how the makeup mirrors the colour theme on the floral top.
