An Italian restaurant is encouraging couples to say 'pie do' at their wedding with pizza bouquets and boutonnieres.

Weddings are a time to celebrate love, so why not celebrate the love you have for your partner and your love of pizza all in one go?

This is now a real possibility for brides-to-be, as a restaurant has created the ultimate wedding bouquet - and it's made entirely from pizza.

Forget the flowers, it's all about dough, cheese and pepperoni.

Made by Villa Italian Kitchen in New York City, the restaurant is hoping that the quirky product, which features pieces of pizza rolled up to look like flowers, will take off and become this summer's hit wedding trend.

And the best part is they're completely free as the eatery is giving them away to a few lucky couples tying the knot over in the states.

In a post on their website, Villa Italian Kitchen said: "Perfect for any couple looking to add some fun and flavour to their big day, the Pizza Bouquet and Boutonniere feature beautiful and delicate floral details hand-crafted by New York food-stylist Jessie Bearden."

Mimi Wunderlich, Director of Communications and Digital Marketing at Villa Italian Kitchen, added: "We are so excited to kick-off wedding season with the launch of the world's first pizza bouquet and boutonniere.”
