For children of the mid-1990s, Disney World’s new Toy Story Land offers the opportunity to visit the imaginary world they grew up in. The new 11-acre land inspired by the movie Toy Story opened to the public last month at Disney’s Hollywood Studios just outside Orlando. It brings to life the classic Pixar films, with rollercoasters, attractions, and of course, Woody and the gang in all their glory. The main attractions include the Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster, snaking through the middle of the park. Hungry park-goers can grab a bite to eat at Woody’s Lunch Box with classic on-the-go meals and old-fashioned soda floats, including hot, gooey cheese-filled sandwiches and tasty lunch box tarts. Other attractions include the tea cup style, Alien Swirling Saucers ride, and the Toy Story Mania interactive shooting game. The park features primary colours and larger-than-life versions of classic toys like Rubik’s Cube, colourful Cootie bugs, Scrabble letters, building blocks and Tinker toys. There are also benches built from Lincoln Logs. Pixar fans are in for a treat with this brand new zone completely dedicated to Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the Toy Story gang.
