The Lahore Arts Council (LAC) has taken up the task to restore 41 damaged paintings of maestros. According to officials of the LAC, the artworks have been kept under preservation at the Alhamra Art Museum at Cultural Complex in Lahore.

The officials said that the restoration process of the paintings formally began in 2016 after the council held a grand workshop titled ‘Saving the Dying Art’, a joint effort by the Lahore Arts Council and the Danish Center for Culture and Development that also introduced many restorers to the fore.
