Fawad Khan dines with Saudi King after performing Hajj

Fawad Khan was missing from red carpets for a while, and here’s why: the actor was in Saudi Arabia performing his first Hajj and, true to his personal character, wanted to stay completely off the media’s radar. That’s why there was no selfie moment during the spiritual journey, which he experienced with his wife Sadaf. The Humsafar star did, however, represent Pakistan at the closing ceremony of Hajj, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Media.

“I’m honoured to be representing 200 million Pakistanis in front of such a diverse audience and a nation that we love and highly respect,” he said in his speech at the closing ceremony. “This was my first experience of Hajj and I am happy to share that I take back great memories of it and I am extremely impressed with the professionalism of the entire security and government’s management for the remarkable services rendered to all pilgrims,” he shared. Fawad was also invited to the annual Hajj lunch hosted by the King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman!

K.Jo’s Pakistani doppleganger leaves him speechless

One of the most prominent names of Bollywood, Karan Johar – who’s known for his razor sharp wit and casual banter – recently discovered something that left him speechless. As eloquent and chatty as he is considered, there must be something out of this world to make him speechless, right?

Karan is quite active on Twitter and recently discovered his lookalike on the social media platform that left him surprised. A Twitter user Usman Khan replied to one of Karan’s tweets, sharing his own photo, and wrote alongside: “People says I do look like @karanjohar is it???”

Dressed in a fancy plum velvet jacket, scarf and sunglasses, the man, we admit, does share an uncanny resemblance with Karan. To which Karan quoted Usman’s tweet and wrote: “Few tweets leave me speechless… this is one of them.” As we thought, a lot of people other than K-Jo found the resemblance striking. Usman also shared WhatsApp screenshots of conversations with his friends who told him he must pursue to have coffee with Karan. Now that is quiet fascinating, isn’t it?

Jami’s Jugnu explores the love for goats

“I want to become the desi Scorsese, not the desi Karan Johar,” Jami Mahmood once said in an interview. Turns out, his latest production just might prove this notion. The Moor director’s latest venture Jugnu, directed by Ali Abbas Naqvi, is intriguing to say the least. The team just dropped a minute-and-a-half long teaser and left us in absolute awe.

While the clip doesn’t give much to speculate, Jugnu seems to be the story of a young boy named Bhura and his love for goats. Billed as ‘a fascinating tale of love, loss and selflessness’, the film also showcases the life of a couple and Bhura’s strained relationship with his mother.

“Choosing the right subject for your film and connecting with the masses can prompt a big change, or at least bring hope to countries like Pakistan,” Jami had said.

Jugnu has been penned down by Naqvi and Areeb Ali while the story is Jami’s. The soothing music has been composed by The Sketches and complements the visuals beautifully.
