Kate Hudson is one happy and glowing mama, as she welcomed her third child – and first daughter – Rani Rose Hudson-Fujikawa last week.

The couple had announced their pregnancy in April this year and Kate had told her followers about how this was her most difficult trimester ever.

But now with both – the mother and baby – healthy and happy, the couple took to Instagram to share the good news and explain why they named their daughter Rani.

Hudson wrote, “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie), after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour.”
