Fatima Bhutto Shuns Melania Trump

Fatima Bhutto – grand daughter of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto – is a renowned author, thinker and speaker. She's known for her strong political views and vast understanding on international relations.

This time, Fatima has called out First Lady of The United States (FLOTUS) Melania Trump on her 'inappropriate' dressing during the recent visit to Africa.

FLOTUS was seen in a men's-inspired look of suit and tie on her first day to Egypt. While American journalists called it 'sending out a message in a country with worst ranking of women's right', Fatima took it to Twitter to differ.

The member of the Bhutto family said, "Egyptian women have fought braver than many, they don't need your ties."

On the other day, FLOTUS flaunted a white hat – which is often related to women's fashion in colonial era – and again Fatima shunned Melania.

"In the politics of the fashion realm she's sending a message: colonialism never ended and is as trendy as ever."

While Melania chose to answer the criticism on her dressing as "Look at the work I do, not what I wear," this is not the first time she has faced backlash on her sense of style.

Are you ready to hate Faysal Quraishi?

Faisal Quraishi is one such actor who the drama viewers love most and they have every reason to. The actor has the talent that makes hearts melt and he does so with aplomb.

Apparently, the Bashar Momin actor is beaming with a renewed energy these days, and the reason? His upcoming drama serial Haiwan, which has been making waves for tackling the sensitive theme of child abuse.

The drama not only addresses the threats our children face but also highlight the inattentive behaviour of parents who are often careless and blindly trust acquaintances around their kids.

“I am sure viewers will hate me for playing this character. But they should hate Hameed, not Faysal. I had serious reservations when it was first offered to me but once I read the script, I realised that it is a grave issue that is needed to be addressed appropriately,” said Faisal at the meet and greet of the drama serial.

“Hameed has hidden a few skeletons in his closet and he knows in his mind that he is guilty. When something happens to his own daughter, all his guilt and fears come up at once. This is the reality of life; you can hide behind a façade but deep down all of us know what we are capable of,” Quraishi revealed.

Swooning listeners earlier with his single Teri Khair Mangdi, Bilal Saeed’s next didn’t just meet fans’ expectations but crossed them – along with over 13 million views in three days on YouTube! Safe to say it has been a one man show for Bilal, for his latest musical video Baarish is written, sung, composed, produced and directed all by himself. Baarish is an emotional ballad, through and through. It begins with a forlorn lover missing his beloved, on a nostalgic rainy night. The soulful musical number features a duotone visual appearance with voice-overs and is purely about love and complexities which follow suit with it. The lyrics are both in Urdu and Punjabi, striking a chord with a heart which has known heartbreak. Bilal’s vocals deliver the right balance of rawness and dulcetness, hitting the high and low notes with perfection, doing justice to the insightful lyrics.

Much awaited Maula Jutt to release on Eidul Fitr 2019

Bilal Lashari’s much anticipated directorial venture, a continuation of Nasir Adeeb’s original series that began with Vehshi Jutt in 1975, has been in the news for quite some time. Producer of the film, Ammara Hikmat, has confirmed that the movie will release on Eidul Fitr 2019, as reported by Something Haute.

Nasir Adeeb’s Vehshi Jutt introduced the character of Maula Jutt for the first time in 1975 and the series of ‘Jutt’ films continued with Maula Jutt in 1979. Sultan Rahi immortalised the iconic role and several films were released under the Jatt umbrella. Bilal Lashari’s Maula Jutt will be a new story, made in the series with the same characters. We’ll now see Fawad Khan as Maula Jutt, Hamza Ali Abbasi as Noori Natt, along with Mahira Khan and Humaima Mallick in lead roles. With Bilal Lashari on the director’s seat, we can expect a film that will be aesthetically enjoyable and technically sound.
