The Secret Marriage of Bieber & Baldwin

The young stars who started dating again in May are still planning a religious ceremony, after getting hitched secretly in New York on September 13, sources say. They don’t consider themselves fully married until then. (On Sept. 14 Baldwin tweeted, “I’m not married yet!” then quickly deleted it.)

“They can be legally wed now but say their vows later.”

Those vows will be said some time in the next year, but don’t expect much more fanfare. “They want a small ceremony with their families,” says the insider. “They are not planning a huge celebrity wedding. They’re getting married for love and don’t want a flashy wedding.” In an interview with the Cut, Baldwin said her big day will be low-key. “I picture lights strung everywhere,” she said. “Having it in the woods would be beautiful.”

Bieber took a traditional approach to marriage. Before he proposed in July, he asked her father, actor Stephen Baldwin, for permission. “It was important to Justin to make sure that her family was onboard with the marriage,” says the insider, “and they accept Justin 100 percent.”
