While Katrina will be seen portraying Babita Kumari, an actress with a drinking problem, Anushka is playing a specially-abled scientist with cerebral palsy, Aafia Bhinder. Probably the most challenging character Anushka has played till date.

Anushka has herself confessed that it was interesting for her to sink her teeth into her character.

“I think first I was very excited that I was getting to play this character that is going to challenge me as an actor. You’re always looking to do something like that.”

Later on, when quizzed about the difficulties she faced during the shoot, both physically and otherwise, she said, “First and foremost, I had to understand what this character entails. What limitations would I have to face physically according to cerebral palsy that my character has and also from the perspective of the effect that it would have on my speech and on my breath.”

She also went on to reveal that she met up and coached under doctors to get the diction right.

She added, “Because of the condition, she has a certain spasm, like a tick that happens on the face and because of that it also alters her speech and how she sounds. It was very difficult to do. But I prepped for three months and tried my best.”
