On her wedding day, a bride is bound to be feeling a little on edge. They might have a wedding planner on hand to help ensure that nothing can possibly go wrong on the big day, but sometimes it's only the bride who can take matters into her own hands and fix a problem.

In a post on Reddit, an unnamed bride revealed all the details and asked whether people thought she had done the right thing in the end. The woman kicked a couple out of her reception because they brought their children along with them and she didn't want little ones spoiling her big day.

She explained: "This couple I'm not very close with but the wife is a long-time family friend so I felt that I should invite her.

The woman claims the couple then began arguing with the wedding planner, so she stepped in to handle the situation.

"I think they thought I came to rescue them," she admitted. "They started going on about how rude my event planner was. I explained that I had actually sent him over to discuss the children. I reiterated that the event was child-free and said that I had stated so clearly on my invitations."

The wife "sort of" apologised, but then proclaimed that she was capable of making sure her children didn't get in the way of things, but it didn't do much to reassure the bride.
