Based on the Dark Horse graphic novel Polar: Came From the Cold by Victor Santos, the movie stars Casino Royale's Mikkelsen as a top assassin nicknamed The Black Kaiser, who is forced out of retirement to do battle against an array of hired killers who all want to do him in. Polar by the way is not to be confused with Arctic, that other thriller starring Mads Mikkelsen, which also recently debuted its first trailer and poster. Arctic is in fact an Icelandic film starring Mikkelsen as a plane crash survivor who, instead of facing an onslaught of assassins, must battle the elements in order to stay alive.
