It’s another film for Mawra and this time she isn’t going for a roney dhoney wala role. In fact, it’s a comedy. Mawra has been signed for Jawani Phir Naheen Aani 2 (JPNA). This will be something different for her, since she seems to specialise in tasvey bahana. Well, what of her, most young girls are doing such bleary-eyed roles in our serials. There’s also a new TV serial for her, which surely will test her, since it’s a tale on partition, titled Aangan – it could be a rare fare. Mawra became a Pakistan-wide popular artiste with her issue-oriented serial, Sammi, which based itself on the cases of Vani, especially popular in Southern Punjab.
