The dish is being served in a New York restaurant. It's called the Zillion Dollar Lobster Frittata and it costs $1,000. It has been named as the world's most expensive omelette because it is made with six eggs, 10 ounces of exclusive sefruga caviar (it costs the restaurant $65 per ounce), an entire lobster, cream and chives. For the making of this premium Frittata, 10 ounces of Caviar and 1 pound of lobster is covered with egg and put on a bed of fried potatoes.


Nino's Bellissima Pizza: $1000 per Pizza

A luxurious pizza costing $1,000 has proved a hit after being added to a New York restaurant's menu. The extravagant pie is the creation of New York restaurateur Nino Selimaj, owner of Nino's Bellissima Pizza in Manhattan. Hundreds of people have already bought the decadent dish, which is among the most expensive pizzas in the world. With a Creme Fraiche base and four types of caviar with lobster tail, this pizza is topped with Salmon roe and a dash of Wasabi.

777 Burger at Burger Brasserie, Las Vegas – $777

While New York’s Serendipity 3 may have its $295 Le Burger Extravagant, dubbed the most expensive by the folks at the Guinness World Records, Le Burger Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas has a burger that rivals the dish, at least in expense. The 777 Burger at Le Burger Brasserie clocks in at $777. Start with a choice of bun – the classic sesame seed, caramelized onion bun, aged parmesan cheese bun or oven-dried tomato ciabatta baked fresh twice daily – and then top it with a surf and turf combo. Kobe beef and Maine lobster gang up on this burger, topped with carmelised sweet onions, prosciutto and French Triple Cream Brie. A drizzle of 100-year aged balsamic vinegar tops the concoction.


Golden Opulence Sundae – $1,000

The Golden Opulence Sundae is a sundae that is served by special order at the New York City restaurant Serendipity 3. In 2007 it was listed in Guinness World Records as the most expensive sundae in the world at a price of US$1,000. The restaurant has stated that they sell approximately one per month. It was created to celebrate the eatery's 50th – “golden”– anniversary in 2005. Owner Stephen Bruce states that a notice 48 hours in advance is needed when requesting the Sundae, since the ingredients must be flown in from different parts of the world.


Almas Caviar: $34,000 per tin

The Almas caviar is an extremely rare food item from Iran. The only store known to carry this item is the Caviar House & Prunier located in Picadilly in London. These are light gold in colour and are sold in a tin made of 24 karat gold.
