The country’s beloved filmmaking duo, Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza announced two films weeks back, mounting the excitement of fans and cine-goers. And as anticipated, it has been announced that the filmmakers and Fahad Mustafa are all set to continue their camaraderie with the Load Wedding actor appearing in their next production, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad. We wonder if he’d be depicting Quaid in this film. “No, no. Fahad will not be playing the role of Quaid,” director Nabeel Qureshi confirms to MAG. “He will be playing the role of a cop. The film isn’t a biopic on Quaid’s life either. It is actually an action comedy film,” he says.

The movie is expected to release on Eid-ul-Azha 2020 and the movie’s cast has not yet been finalised, except for Fahad, who was first to sign the film. Nabeel Qureshi admits on not having casted any lead actress as yet with auditions in full-swing.

Nabeel and Fizza under their banner of Filmwala Productions, will also be releasing another film in 2020, which is titled Fatman.

The announcements of upcoming film releases land at a time when Bollywood movies are banned in the country, which means the vacuum will be filled in by productions which are proudly helmed in Pakistan. “Due to the ban on Indian films, we believe that it is more important than ever to support Pakistani cinema, thus we have chosen to make two films. Our aim is to continue releasing quality content which pushes the boundaries and meets audience’ expectations,” said Nabeel and Fizza.

We can’t wait to see how 2020 fares for the two and their two movies.
