Junaidi’s Pizzeria

MAG RECOMMENDS!

Have you had an aching pizza craving? A colleague and I walk in at Junaidi’s Pizzeria in search of pizza satiation on a Saturday evening; the petite and minimalist premises gave a little sluggish vibe to a much looked-forward to evening. Skimming through the menu, notably reasonably priced, we ordered a slice of everything. The pizzeria’s basic concept is “a dollar a slice” pizza fix; each slice big enough to remedy to those pizza cravings. Our pizza arrives, a large serving of thin crust pie, each slice with different toppings piping hot from the oven leaving us quizzical, wondering w ere to start. We dig in starting with Spinach and Ricotta, the saltiness of ricotta perfectly balanced and kick starting our experience on the right note. The 4 Cheese slice caught our attention next; the visual episode of witnessing a beautiful cheese pull for a cheese lover is pure bliss. The slice hit the right cheese notes but missed on the saucy hit that ties the overall flavour of the pizza together. The Chicken slice came next; not the most appetising on the table, it lacked in flavour as well. The Pepperoni, usually always a winner, didn’t disappoint with sufficient slices of pepperoni to make any cold cut meat lover happy. On a budget, Junaidi’s is a good pick for a quick fix, however, may be not the best option for a weekend family dinner or date night. – Eman Saleem
