Aruna, who was critical at the time, wanted to meet the actor. Her kids had reached out to SRK's team and informed them about their mother's wish. The Twitterati came forward to help and started posting her pictures everywhere with the caption #SRKMeetsAruna. Although the actor couldn't meet her because of his other commitments, King Khan was very thoughtful and sent her a video message, saying, "I want to say this, that me, my whole family, all our friends, whoever knows about you, we are praying for your wellness. You are in a state where meeting you is perhaps not a possibility. I know this for a fact that you will get well soon and we will meet very soon."

Unfortunately, Aruna passed away before SRK could meet her. The star took to Twitter to express his condolences to her family by tweeting: “May Allah give u strength to deal with the loss of your beautiful mother. I know how sad it is to deal with the loss of a parent. Know that she is always with u & henceforth do things that give her reasons to smile in heaven.”
