ASK A DERMATOLOGIST

You need to consult a dermatologist to find the root of the problem. You may need dermabraisson. Also, you need to commit religiously to moisturising.

My nails are very brittle and break at the slightest force. How can I strengthen my nails?

There are multiple things that cause brittle nails: age, iron deficiency, hypothyroidism or Raynuad syndrome. Invest in a good hand moisturiser, apply primrose oil or olive oil around the cuticles and corners of the nails. To further protect your nails from damage, wear gloves while doing the dishes or laundry, do not bite your nails and avoid frequent nail polish. You can also take multivitamins to strengthen your nails.

I am allergic to sunscreen. Is there any other option?

You can opt for physical protection. Wear a hat to cover your face and gloves to protect your hands. Avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun by staying indoors between 9 am to 4 pm.

I am an athlete and my skin becomes almost ashen. Is there something I can do?

Ashen skin means pale or pallor gray and is directly related to a lack of oxygenated blood. You need to consult with a physician right away.
