This is perhaps the most exciting cinematic news of the week bygone! The two eminent performers of Pakistan’s entertainment industry, Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa, are all set to share the screen for the first-time. And it’s in none other than filmmaker duo Fizza Ali Meerza and Nabeel Qureshi’s upcoming, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad. Nabeel took to twitter to reveal the news, “Here comes the big reveal ! @fahadmustafa26 @TheMahiraKhan bolo haan ke naa? #quaideazamzindabad.” Mahira responded to Nabeel’s tweet confirming that the fans will finally see the pair together. In conversation with MAG, Fizza confirmed that Mahira had been their first choice for lead actress all along. But what sort of role will we be seeing her in? “We’ve seen Mahira’s line of work over the years, I think she is great. She did make a cameo in our film Actor-in-Law, so this time around we were very excited to cast her for the lead role in Quaid-E-Azam Zindabaad,” she said. “As you know, social elements are an integral part of of our films. So the role she will be playing will be along the lines.” Nabeel insisted it is still too early to spill all the details but stressed that for Mahira, “it’s a role she hasn’t played before!” The movie is set to release next year on Eid-ul-Azha 2020.
