Pakistani wrestler accuses Riz Ahmed of exploitation

Trouble, Trouble

British-Pakistani actor and rapper, Riz Ahmed aka Riz MC has been in hot waters over his track Mogambo. Some new information regarding its music video has come to light. Ahmed casted a Pakistani wrestler Rashid Pehlwan in the song’s music video. However, it turns out that this was all done without fair compensation to the wrestler. An acquaintance of Rashid, Awais Khalid revealed on Twitter that Rashid Pehlwan was not fairly compensated for his services. He also stated that Rashid was made to sign a questionable contract with Riz Ahmed. The post read, “In October 2018, @rizmc dropped his track 'Mogambo' on YouTube. Rashid Pehlwan (pictured on this album cover) played a significant role in the music video, but he was not fairly compensated for his time and was instead made to sign a questionable contract AFTER the shoot.” As per the details given by Khalid in the rest of his posts, there is no doubt that the wrestler was exploited. But we are yet to hear a response from Riz Ahmed on these allegations.
