The great and the good of the worlds of fashion and entertainment hit the red carpet to celebrate the Fashion Awards 2019 at London’s Royal Albert Hall. With the red carpet rolled out over the mighty Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Steps – and the temperature plummeting to zero – yet spirits were warmer. With Tracee Ellis Ross hosting the event plus celebrities in attendance from Bel Powley to Sandra Oh to Cate Blanchett, needless to say, it was a glittering affair. Amongst the best dressed was Julia Roberts (how could she not be?), who made the ascent in a sequin black Giorgio Armani jumpsuit. A special tribute was paid to legendary Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in February of this year. The British Fashion Council partnered with the United Nations to present the Award for Positive Change, celebrating Signatories of the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action. Take a look at the winner list from BFA ‘19.
