Russell Crowe will star in a biopic of TV chef Marco Pierre White

A film on the life of Marco Pierre White is coming to the big screen – and Hollywood star Russell Crowe is going to play the fearsome telly chef. The 58-year-old restaurateur says he has signed a deal to make the production happen. The Hell’s Kitchen firebrand says he wouldn't want anyone else to take the role after putting pen to paper with the Gladiator and Robin Hood actor. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the British chef says he can't wait for work to get started. "I have just signed the deal," Marco said after the film was first rumoured five years ago. "Russell has written the script, Russell’s company is producing it, Russell is directing it and Russell is playing the third or fourth Marco."When they do a movie on your life, you don’t just have one Marco – I am nearly 60 years old!" The Leeds-born star added, "If there was anyone in Hollywood to play me, it would have to be Russell."
