Sarmad Khoosat explains why the trailer of Zindagi Tamasha was taken down from YouTube

Battling Controversy

Sarmad Khoosat is making his directorial debut with the most anticipated movie of 2020 Zindagi Tamasha. The film has already achieved quite a lot of recognition after winning the Kim Ji Seok Award at Busan International Film Festival, but the viewers back home seemed to have mixed views regarding the movie’s trailer. The film's story and subject started to be criticised only after the short-lived trailer was revealed and soon the trailer was taken down from YouTube. Khoosat revealed in a live session on YouTube the reason why the trailer of his upcoming movie was removed. “Khoosat Films took down the trailer from YouTube themselves. A trailer is just a tiny part of the entire film, there's no context so a few people had some issues regarding the content of that clip and we took that into account. After minor tweaks, we'll re-upload it soon enough,” said the filmmaker. Khoosat also recently announced the release date of the film and it is said to hit the theatres across Pakistan on 24th January 2020.
