Ambling by the Arts Council, MAG attended the thesis display of the graduating class; a well put together display of graphic designing, textile design and craft work showcasing emerging talent. Ranging in design aesthetic, we came across an interesting display of gaming consoles titled, “feel the experience.” Presented by Afeef Shaikh, a 3D printed textured surface of a dismantled console adds a futuristic vibe to the display. Browsing through Shaikh’s sketches, we experience with fascination the inner working of a designer’s mind during the creative process. Amid tasteful works of arts and textile, Shaikh's framed and textured designs of multimedia consoles injected a futuristic feels to the otherwise conventional display of art forms.
