SRK contemplates doing web series

With the digital platform becoming a go-to for many for binge-watching, it comes as no surprise that Bollywood celebrities, including the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Richa Chadha, have joined the bandwagon to be a part of web series. But Shah Rukh Khan sounds sceptical about the same for himself. "I have heard that Saif and Nawaz are doing a series, which is great, but I want to see how well Indian series do on the digital platform," said King Khan before adding, "I want to take my own time to understand how the medium is working. The format is completely different and I don't think I will venture into it just for the sake of doing it".

A major video streaming giant just last year signed a deal with Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment to license its catalogue films globally. "They have been kind enough to bring some of my old as well new films including Raees, Jab Harry Met Sejal and Ittefaq on their platform," the actor shared. And while he does believe that the digital platform will be a game-changer, the Dilwale star also knows that the magic of the big screen will always remain. "In the near future, I'm sure films will start releasing digitally. But there will still be filmmakers who will continue bringing people to cinemas. I don't think people will stop going to theatres."
