It’s been over two weeks and the infamous teen couple, Asad and Nimra, continue to be the talk of the town, bringing a very sensitive and un-discussed subject to light: teen marriages. The internet was a frenzy of opinions around the news, while some showered praises on the couple for making things official and others who critiqued them for getting married too young. The trend of early marriage entails things we aren’t talking about, including prioritising career, education and more. Amongst the supporters the couple garnered, is Imran Ashraf, “Now we will dictate other’s decision of marriage is correct or not? We are now interfering in others personal life and we turn (the) internet (into) such a court room where everyone gives their assessment according to their level of frustration.”
