Steal worthy celebrity nail trends

We never feel quite as fancy as we do post mani – there's just something about having pristine nails, filed, painted and preened to perfection, it really is the ultimate act of self indulgence. And where better to get all our inspo from than the celebs? With their consistently killer manicures, they're pretty much the authority on cute nails.

Selena Gomez

Wow, just, wow... Forget the red carpet dresses, Selena Gomez stole the show at the 2019 AMAs with her oh-so extra manicure. The singer rocked chrome nails with a cluster of glistening crystals in the centre of her middle finger. Celeb nail artist, Tom Bachik, described the look as a "Swarovski crescendo of sparkle". Well, consider us dazzled.

Jennifer Lopez

The Hustlers actress blessed Instagram with a view of this with this elaborate mani, which she wore on New Year's Eve. This brilliance is the work of her go-to nail artist, Tom Bachik, who adorned her claws with piercings and Versace-inspired artwork. We love this on J.Lo – it's a fun change-up from the typical one-colour manicures she usually wears.

Kylie Jenner

While the 22-year-old makeup mogul seems to have a different manicure every week (thanks to nail artist Chaun P. Legend), this hot pink design, reminiscent of her Kylie Lip Kit packaging, is a definite favourite. Kylie Jenner showed off her neon digits on Instagram with the caption, "French Drip.”

Dua Lipa

Manicurist Mei Kawajiri decked out Dupa Lipa's digits in this colourful plaid print for the Burberry show at New York Fashion Week, and now it's all we can think about. We'll be here attempting to recreate it until further notice.

Hailee Steinfeld

Another amazing creation from Bachik, this shiny black-and-mauve mani was created for the Starving singer. The geometric accents give it a futuristic feel, while the mauve base keeps it classic.

Blake Lively

This Pokemon-themed manicure is Elle’s work, and it couldn't be cuter. To achieve a similar look, simply score yourself some Pikachu nail stickers and apply them on top of a bright-yellow base colour. Easy-peasy, and you don't need to be good at drawing to do it.

Lizzo

Lizzo's bedazzled mani from the AMAs was almost as epic as her killer performance. NYC-based nail artist Eri Ishizu created this crystal-studded work of art for the Truth Hurts singer, and it complemented her electric-orange ensemble perfectly.

Gigi Hadid

Another killer creation by Kawajiri, who calls this manicure on Gigi Hadid "super kawaii 3D nails." The supermodel sported the remarkable mani, which was done using a variety of whimsical acrylics, at Marc Jacobs' spring/summer 2020 show.

Cardi B

The Bodak Yellow singer got a manicure dedicated to her daughter, Kulture, in celebration of her birthday month in July. London-based manicurist Reecey Roo is the mastermind behind this black and blue design, which she studded with rhinestones for a glamorous effect.
