Great Work, Strings!

The enthusiasm and camaraderie of the music fraternity flowered into a young vision in Coke Studio; and the two-member band, Strings added their bit for this 21st century vision. Top marks to them for innovation and collaboration. Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia contributed wholeheartedly to the merry scales of the rum brew. It was rhythmic tones all the way – rather Arhythmatics.

Many young musicians, bubbling with the cool beverage, came to this pedestal, and put in their molten magic. Many stalwarts sent their vibrations spinning into the vortex of the microphone. When they merged into melodies, it was, in many cases, lilting stuff. So many stars, some pulsars and some quasars, shone through, including Ali Sethi, Mai Dhai, Nabeel Shaukat, Humeira Channa, Momina Mustehsan, Rahat Fateh Ali, Atif Aslam, Zeb Bangash, Ali Hamza, Javed Bashir, Ataullah Eesakhelvi, Sanwal Eesakhelvi, Sajjad Ali, Abida Parveen, Akhter Chanal Zehri, Komal Rizvi, Quratulain Balouch, Ali Zafar, Ali Noor, Naseebo Lal, Zoe Viccaji etc, and the list of brilliant musicians is too many to name in this column.

Best of luck, Strings! You did your best, indeed.
