To our utter disappointment, industry representatives and celebrities continue to express their misunderstood concepts around feminism, challenging the movement, perhaps, too blind by their privilege. The internet was a frenzy, rightly so and model Eman Suleman replied to her tweet with, “Jin mamlon k baray mein ziada ilm na ho, un per tabsira karnay se parhaiz karain. Shukriya.” We march on, with the hope that women will realise that the struggle for rights is not limited to an individual, but to our society, communities and future generations.
