Chakkar has an actor! Yasir Nawaz’s upcoming comedy thriller, which previously as per reports was going to star Mawra Hocane and Feroze Khan, has finally confirmed Ahsan Khan in the lead role. There is no news of who’d be playing the leading lady as of yet. This would be Nawaz’s fourth directorial venture after Wrong No, Wrong No. 2 and Mehrunisa V Lub U.

Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed reunite for Aan

After Zindagi Gulzar Hai’s success, Saeed and Khan will once again unite for Haseeb Hasan’s latest project, Aan. The project also roped in Umera Ahmed, acclaimed author and dramatist, to pen the script and a star cast including Zara Noor Abbas, Javed Shaikh, Naved Shehzad, Nayyar Ejaz, Aly Khan and Naeem Tahir. The Parwaz Hai Junoon director said his latest film will be romantic drama with a hint of humour about the Pakistani Navy.

Shaoib Mansoor brings Dua-e-Reem, soon

Writer and director, Shoaib Mansoor recently announced his next venture titled Dua-e-Reem, translating to Prayer of a Woman, starring the dynamic Mahira Khan. Mansoor is famed for his impactful and controversial films, Khuda Ke Liye taking the top rank. This will be the director’s third collaboration with Mahira, after Bol and Verna. There are no details disclosed so far, but to say the least, we are waiting for this with bated breath.
