‘Mughal-e-Funk’ launches video ‘Akbar’

Mughal feels strong

A contemporary instrumental fusion/funk band, Mughal-e-Funk is a combination of ambient music, groovy melodies and incredibly inventive percussion and bass parts. Comprising four members, the line-up includes Kami Paul on the drums, Rufus Shahzad on synths and keyboard, Rakae Jamil on Sitar and Farhan Ali on the bass. The band released their debut album Sultanat in 2018. The album consists of a total of six tracks, each inspired by the Mughal era and each song is named after a Mughal emperor. The band recently release the music video of one of their tracks, Akbar. The video uses rotoscoping animation technique which is the process of manually altering film footage one frame at a time. We are excited to see what the band has in store for us for their upcoming tracks.
