KFC was one of the many fast-food chains that were forced to close as coronavirus continued to spread across the UK. But, since fans can't wait until lockdown is over to chow down on some crispy southern-fried chicken, they've been recreating some of KFC's most popular meals at home. They have been asked by the food giant to share their creations on Twitter via the #RateMyKFC hashtag, and are being rated out of 10 – but some of the replies are pretty savage. KFC announced the idea on Twitter and also fired a warning, adding the disclaimer, "I’m more Ramsey than Berry". A man shared a picture of his first ever attempt at KFC style chicken and mash, but was shut down with this reply, "We’re Kentucky FRIED Chicken, not Kentucky cook it in a lukewarm bath for nine minutes chicken. Mash looks nice though. You also forgot the hashtag which loses a point. 2/10." One person recreated what KFC called the "double down", which landed him a solid 8/10, as well as a new friend, gaining the praise, "The beauty of putting black pepper on chips is a friend of mine". And only one person as of yet received a 10/10 thanks to its uncanny resemblance to the real thing, and was told it was "unbeatable."
