Sad demise

Acclaimed actor and Bollywood’s face in the west, Irrfan Khan’s death is an irreplaceable loss, jolts of which have been felt a world over. The actor suffered from a rare form of cancer and was a symbol of resilience, not giving up on his craft and love of art despite ill-health. Khan has a sting of masterpieces under his belt, from Maqbool to Hindi Medium opposite Saba Qamar to his riveting performance in Life of Pi, Khan’s acting skills were incomparable. But his movies are only second on the list of what will be missed the most. The first will always be his humanising story of struggle and hard work, his rise to being the legend that he was without any lineage to rope him up and the simplicity in his stardom.
