The actor suffered from a rare form of cancer and was a symbol of resilience, not giving up on his craft and love of art despite ill-health. Rishi Kapoor passes away in Mumbai

The Bobby and Chandni veteran actor that has entertained us for over four decades breathe his last in a hospital in Mumbai. The 67-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and was seeking treatment in New York. The news of his passing was broken on social media by veteran actor and the deceased’s co-actor in multiple films, Amitabh Bachchan. He wrote, "Rishi Kapoor... gone... passed away. I am destroyed!" The tweet was deleted soon after. Condolences flew in from Bollywood and Lollywood, a great loss for the film industry indeed.
