Sugary drinks for iftar – your take on it?

There’s no harm in having everything in moderation. Even sugar. However, if you find yourself consuming copious amounts of it, you can always look into alternatives like stevia or sugar free drinks or squash etc.

Omelets for sehri make me thirsty during the day, is it just me or is it a thing?

Protein can have that effect on some people. The body uses up more water in order to metabolise the naturally occurring nitrogen in protein, due to which cells may lose water content significantly, further making you feel dehydrated. However, you can combat that effect by making sure your water intake has been sufficient throughout the day.

What are some weight loss tricks I can indulge in during Ramadan?

Ramadan can be amazing for fat loss since your eating window is limited and there’s not much room to eat excess calories. You can make good use of this by skipping the deep fried pakoras and samosas for iftar and having something more filling and nutritious like a grilled chicken sandwich or swapping your high calories drinks with sugar free alternatives. Try to get in a good workout post-iftar followed by a light dinner with sufficient protein.

High energy food options? I feel so lethargic and drained all day and night.

Lack of energy is mostly related to a poor diet lacking nutrition. It is important that you amend that first by adding balanced meals with lots of lean proteins, veggies and healthy carb sources. Foods that can provide you with tons of energy are bananas, sweet potatoes, brown rice or other complex carb sources, eggs, yogurt, chickpeas, lentils, most fruits and nuts. Another major cause of lacking energy is dehydration. Make sure you’re drinking enough water too.

I want to start gummy vitamins for hair health. Are those any good?

Definitely. Most people skip a good multivitamin because they find it difficult to swallow a giant capsule/tablet and don’t like the after taste. Gummy vitamins are super easy to eat and taste great too, so it’s a win-win!
