Shyraa Roy, best known as a fresh face in the musical industry, is an American based Pakistani singer and actress. She started her career as an actress and then stepped into music by presenting her debut single Raat. Roy has managed to gain a huge fan following through some of her projects. She is well known for her lead role in 2018 horror film Aks. Roy was also a part of the marketing crew of Ali Zafar’s Teefa in Trouble. And now she is ready to be the next big thing in the musical industry. MAG gets in touch with the talented singer for a quick and fun rapid fire. Excerpts:

If your life had a theme song, what would it be?

Yeh Zindagi Hai Ek Juaa from the movie Zindagi Ek Juaa.

If you could bring one fictional character to life, who would it be?

Maya Malhotra from drama serial Beyhadh.

Do you have a useless talent?

Not exactly useless, but I can give really good massages.

Best compliment you have ever received?

That I look like Hira Mani and Madhuri Dixit.

If you could be a child for one day, what would you do?

I would just want to be pampered all over again like I was as a child.

An item you like to collect?

I would like to collect a lot of iPhones and all of Apple accessories.

What can turn the day around for you?

My days are always very challenging. I always get aggressive with people, so there isn’t much that can turn the day around for me.

Your favourite health care regimen?

Fruits, especially watermelon.

Tell us an embarrassing story.

When I was in grade nine, I was dancing in a school function and I had a wardrobe malfunction and it was a very funny one.

Something you wish you had more time for?

Workout at the gym.

If you could meet a person for the first time, who would it be?

Ali Zafar. Because when I met him at PISA he was quite busy and I wanted to sit with him and have a chat with him so I didn’t get a chance to speak much to him.

A skin care/ health product you swear by?

Himalaya Neem Face Wash. It’s very good for dry skin. Also, aloe Vera gel for smooth skin.
