Festive wear, for us desi girls, is an opportunity to play dress up. In short, it really is our time to shine. We can get away with wearing the most heavy embroidery or applique work and it will all be appropriate and we can never go a frill too far with a heavily embellished lehenga or gharara. Our festive wear is rarely drab. We love to flaunt our colours in every shade imaginable. This year, the few colours which will be trending huge on the ramp range from bold red and black to the pretty pastels. Although, the colours red and black have been trending all round the world and they never really go out of style, but if you are one to shy from bold hues, go for subdued yet stunning pastel shades. How pretty are those? Also, plain jane looks will be rarely popular in this year’s festive wear. Heavy embroidery and a lot of sparkle will be seen everywhere. So, enjoy the all-out heavy work on your festive ensembles!
