Faryal Mehmood and Gohar Rasheed to star in the film Lockdown

In the pipeline

Looks like someone had been productive in quarantine. Pakistani filmmaker Abu Aleeha pens a feature film titled Lockdown and ace actor Gohar Rasheed and Faryal Mehmood have been casted to take the lead. The script is reportedly co-written with Abida Ahmed and is produced by Mont Blanc. In an interview, Rasheed discloses that the story revolves around a couple affected by the pandemic. “This film talks about the horrors of COVID-19 and its repercussions like lockdown, self-isolation and quarantine procedures. If you’re making a film about such gloomy circumstances where people are unable to meet their loved ones, it automatically becomes a unique subject. It is the very first time (in Pakistan) that any production banner or director has attempted to make a feature film on the subject,” Gohar said in an interview with SH. According to reports, the production is already underway and all SOPs are being followed on the sets during shooting. There is no official release date as of now.
